Ahmed B. Ibrahim is currently Director of the Hematology at Hospital da Luz and Founding Dean of Católica Medical School in Lisbon, Portugal. He graduated in Medicine in 1993 from the University of Cambridge and completed his specialty in hematology in the United Kingdom. He received his PhD in 2007 from Imperial College London. He is president of the European Association of Haematology for the 2023-2025 biennium. He is the author of more than 60 articles published in journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Nature Medicine, and Blood.
